Outpost starts with people.
The mechanism
Across AI, interesting work is happening inside research organizations, government, companies, nonprofits, independent projects, and places that don’t fit neatly into any category.
We talk with the people doing that work. We want to understand what they’re building, why they’re building it, what they’re learning, what they need, and who they think should be part of the conversation.
Some of those conversations are published. Together, they create a growing map of people, projects, problems, and expertise across AI.
What Outpost does
When we meet two people who should know each other, we introduce them.
Over time, those connections may lead to collaborations, new projects, convenings, resources, or things we cannot predict yet.
That is the experiment.
